AWS Consultant Position Overview We are seeking a highly experienced AWS Consultant with 20 years of IT experience to. This role requires a deep understanding of AWS cloud infrastructure, data solutions, DevOps practices, and application modernization. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of designing and implementing complex cloud solutions while also contributing to pre-sales activities and statement of work development. Location United States Required Experience • Minimum 20 years of overall IT experience • 10+ years of hands-on experience with AWS cloud services and solutions • US-based candidate required Core Responsibilities AWS Cloud Infrastructure • Design, architect, and implement scalable, secure, and highly available AWS cloud infrastructures • Lead cloud migration initiatives from on-premises to AWS • Optimize cloud infrastructure for performance, bolthires, and security • Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or CDK • Design multi-account AWS architectures using AWS Organizations and Control Tower • Implement disaster recovery and business continuity solutions Data Solutions • Design and implement data lakes, data warehouses, and analytics solutions on AWS • Work with AWS data services including Redshift, bolthires, Glue, EMR, Kinesis, and Lake Formation • Develop data migration strategies and execute large-scale data migrations • Implement real-time and batch data processing pipelines • Design data governance and security frameworks DevOps & Automation • Establish and implement DevOps best practices and bolthires/CD pipelines • Automate infrastructure provisioning and application deployment • Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions using CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, or similar tools • Design and implement containerization strategies using ECS, EKS, or Fargate • Establish GitOps workflows and version control best practices Application Development & Modernization • Lead application modernization initiatives including lift-and-shift, re-platforming, and refactoring • Design microservices architectures and serverless solutions • Provide technical guidance on application migration to AWS • Implement API management and integration solutions • Architect cloud-native applications using AWS services like Lambda, API Gateway, Step Functions, and EventBridge Consulting & Client Engagement • Provide technical leadership and guidance on AWS implementations • Collaborate with client stakeholders to understand business and technical requirements • Deliver technical documentation and best practice recommendations • Support knowledge transfer and training initiatives Required Technical Skills AWS Services Expertise • Compute: EC2, Lambda, ECS, EKS, Fargate, Auto Scaling • Storage: S3, EBS, EFS, FSx, Storage Gateway • Database: RDS, Aurora, DynamoDB, DocumentDB, ElastiCache • Networking: VPC, Direct Connect, Transit Gateway, Route 53, CloudFront, Load Balancers • Security: IAM, KMS, Secrets Manager, Security Hub, GuardDuty, WAF, Shield • Data & Analytics: Redshift, bolthires, Glue, EMR, Kinesis, QuickSight, Lake Formation • DevOps Tools: CodePipeline, CodeBuild, CodeDeploy, Systems Manager • Monitoring: CloudWatch, X-Ray, CloudTrail Additional Technical Skills • Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash, PowerShell) • Experience with infrastructure as code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, CDK) • bolthires/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab bolthires, GitHub Actions, CircleCI) • Configuration management (Ansible, Chef, Puppet) • Containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes) • Version control systems (Git) • Database administration and SQL expertise Required Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience) • AWS Certified Solutions Architect –
