Job Details Job Description We are looking for a candidate with strong AWS cloud migration and application modernization experience, particularly in migrating Java applications from legacy servers to cloud environments.
The role involves working on end-to-end migration projects, containerization, replatforming, and optimizing enterprise workloads on AWS. The ideal candidate should have handsāon exposure to AWS services, application modernization approaches, and legacyātoācloud transformation, with Java as a secondary development skill. Key Requirements (AWS-Heavy Focus) ā¢ Strong experience in AWS cloud services and architecture (ECS/EKS, EC2, RDS, S3, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch, Lambda, API Gateway) ā¢ Handsāon experience with migration of legacy applications to AWS, including assessment, planning, and execution ā¢ Proven expertise in cloud modernization & replatforming of onāprem Java applications ā¢ Experience with containerization using Docker and deployment on Kubernetes/EKS ā¢ Understanding of monolithic-to-microservices transition and cloudānative design patterns ā¢ Knowledge of bolthires/CD pipelines and DevOps tooling (CodePipeline, CodeBuild, Jenkins, GitHub Actions) ā¢ Familiarity with application server migrations (JBoss/WebLogic/WildFly) to AWS ā¢ Secondary skill: development experience in Java/Spring Boot, Microservices ā¢ Ability to troubleshoot performance, scalability, network, and infraārelated issues on cloud ā¢ Exposure to application configuration externalization, security best practices, and distributed systems ā¢ Lead and execute replatform migrations of applications to AWS Outposts without modifying business functionality ā¢ Perform migration planning, portfolio assessment, discovery, and design documentation ā¢ Use bolthires/CDādriven deployment processes to migrate applications into the new environment ā¢ Support migration acceptance testing, cutover planning, execution, and runbacks ā¢ Apply handsāon experience with AWS MGN, AWS migration best practices, and enterprise migration methodologies ā¢ Prepare migration runbooks; experience with Cutover.com preferred ā¢ Leverage bolthires Q/Bedrock & AWS Transform to accelerate migration tasks ā¢ Collaborate with AppDev teams to ensure middleware, OS, and database upgrades are aligned with AWS Outposts architecture ā¢ Ensure successful deployment, validation, and handover through strong documentation and knowledge transfer
