Cullerton Group has a new opporutnity for an Azure DevOps / UI Consultant (C# / Radzen). This is a 2-3 month contract. The work will be done 100% remotely. Compensation is $70/hr W2 or $80/hr C2C. Overview We are seeking an experienced Azure DevOps / UI Consultant to support an active modernization project that began in May 2025. This engagement involves reverse engineering a legacy 1970s VMS Fortran application used in the mining industry and rebuilding it within a modern Azure DevOps environment using C#. The backend engineering work (Fortran to C# conversion) is already in progress. We are now seeking a strong UI-focused engineer to design and build the web-based front-end application. This is a fully remote contract opportunity for 2β3 months. Key Responsibilities β’ Design and develop a modern web-based user interface for a legacy mining application being migrated to Azure β’ Collaborate closely with backend engineers converting Fortran logic to C# β’ Implement UI components using Radzen and WYSIWYG tools β’ Follow Azure DevOps best practices for build, release, and deployment β’ Translate complex legacy workflows into intuitive, user-friendly web experiences β’ Participate in client-facing discussions to gather requirements and provide technical input β’ Ensure clean, maintainable, and scalable code architecture Required Skills and Experience β’ Strong Azure DevOps experience, including CI/CD pipelines and best practices β’ Proven experience building web applications in C# β’ Hands-on experience with Radzen β’ Experience with visual WYSIWYG editors for UI development β’ Ability to work directly with customers and stakeholders in a professional, consultative manner β’ Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently Nice to Have β’ Experience working with or understanding legacy Fortran systems β’ Exposure to industrial, mining, or heavy equipment software environments Ideal Candidate Profile β’ Strong front-end and UI development background β’ Comfortable working in modernization and reverse engineering environments β’ Able to interpret legacy business logic and translate it into modern user experiences β’ Self-directed and comfortable in a short-term, high-impact consulting engagement This role is ideal for a UI-focused engineer who enjoys transforming legacy systems into modern cloud-based applications within Azure.
