Location: Remote (U.S. Only)
- Job Responsibilities:
- Lead backend development for a cloud-native Document Management System (DMS) on AWS
- Create pipelines for document ingestion, storage, metadata schemas, and lifecycle automation
- Architect and deploy backend microservices with secure APIs and event-driven designs
- Collaborate with product owners, architects, and engineers to deliver scalable document processing systems
- Own the full development lifecycle including CI/CD, infrastructure as code, and observability
- Balance technical design with business goals in a small, fast-paced Agile team
- 3+ years of backend engineering experience Java, C#, or Typescript, Python.
- Strong experience with AWS (S3, Lambda, CDK, IAM, CloudWatch)
- Hands-on experience with document workflows: search indexing, metadata modeling, retention
- Skilled in REST APIs, JSON schemas, event-driven architecture
- Agile team experience and ability to work in flexible, startup-style culture
- Bonus: OCR tooling, HIPAA familiarity, or experience with claims/DMS environments
