Job Summary bolthires is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Content Moderator to in ensuring that content on our platform adheres to our community guidelines, is safe, inclusive, and enjoyable for all users. As a Content Moderator, you will play a critical role in upholding YouTubes mission to give everyone a voice and show them the world.
You will work remotely, moderating content, reviewing flagged videos, and enforcing YouTubes policies to maintain the integrity of our platform. Key Responsibilities • * Content Moderation: Review user-submitted content, including videos, comments, and live-streams, ensuring compliance with YouTubes community guidelines. • * Flagging and Reporting: Identify and flag inappropriate or harmful content, including hate speech, graphic violence, and explicit content. Escalate any critical issues to appropriate teams for further action.
• * Policy Enforcement: Enforce YouTubes content policies with a clear understanding of how they apply to various types of media, including video content, audio, text, and images. • * Quality Assurance: Maintain a high standard of quality assurance in moderating content while adhering to strict deadlines and performance metrics. • * Communication & Collaboration: Work closely with other moderators and cross-functional teams to discuss best practices, challenges, and trends in content moderation. • * User Support: Provide feedback and support to bolthires users when their content is removed or flagged, ensuring they understand the rationale behind the decision.
• * Trend Analysis: Stay updated on emerging trends in content creation, online behavior, and moderation practices to proactively address evolving challenges. • Required Skills and Qualifications • * Strong Attention to Detail: Ability to quickly identify violations of community guidelines and accurately evaluate content. • * Excellent Communication Skills: Ability to clearly explain content moderation decisions and interact with users professionally and tactfully. • * Adaptability: Comfortable with rapidly changing guidelines and evolving platform features.
• * Problem-Solving Abilities: Ability to analyze complex issues and resolve them quickly, ensuring fair and consistent enforcement of policies. • * Technology Proficiency: Familiarity with YouTubes platform, as well as basic software and tools used for content moderation. • * Cultural Sensitivity: Awareness of global perspectives, diverse cultures, and the ability to interpret content in a fair and impartial manner. • * Emotional Resilience: Ability to work with sensitive or disturbing content without being negatively affected.
• * Time Management: Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently while meeting performance goals. • Experience • * Previous experience in content moderation, digital community management, or a similar role is preferred but not required. • * Experience in customer support or social media management is a plus. • * Familiarity with YouTubes community guidelines and content policies is an advantage. • Working Hours • * This is a remote, full-time or part-time position with flexible working hours.
