Job Description
I’m a first-time author of a cookbook/lifestyle book called Welcome to My Table. It’s a modern approach to hosting and intentional living, combining recipes, storytelling, and lifestyle content. The book is already published, available on Amazon, and distributed via IngramSpark.
I’m looking for an experienced Book Marketing Strategist / Launch Consultant to help me create a clear, effective plan to grow visibility and sales.
This is not just a social media role. I need someone who understands book marketing, publishing, and distribution and can help me think strategically about:
Reviewing my current setup (Amazon, IngramSpark, pricing, positioning)
Clarifying my target audience and brand positioning
Creating a step-by-step marketing and visibility plan (90-day plan to start)
Strategy for bookstores, book signings, and retail placement
Strategy for media exposure (podcasts, cooking/lifestyle shows, blogs, etc.)
Advising what type of PR or additional support I should hire next
Optionally helping with execution or outreach systems
Ideal experience:
Has worked with authors and books (especially nonfiction, cookbooks, or lifestyle)
Understands Amazon, IngramSpark, and book distribution
Has built book launch or long-term book marketing strategies before
Can show examples, case studies, or results
Strategic thinker who can also be practical and actionable
Initial scope:
Audit + strategy + clear 90-day action plan
Ongoing work possible if it’s a good fit
