Business Consultant / Financial Model Expert (Production Company / Creative Services, USA)
I’m looking for an experienced business consultant who can review, validate, and improve my business plan and rebuild/verify the financial model for a newly planned cinematic production company (photo + video) based in the U.S. (starting in Los Angeles, with potential expansion to other states).
What I need help with
1. Business Plan Review & Improvement
- Review my business plan for clarity, structure, logic, consistency, and overall professional quality.
- Identify any gaps, contradictions, unnecessary repetitions, weak logic, unrealistic assumptions, or sections that should be strengthened.
- Improve the business case so it reads as a credible, scalable, and competitive company plan.
2. Financial Model Review & Correction (Most Important)
- Review all financial tables and assumptions (revenue model, operating expenses, payroll, projections).
- Check for math errors, missing items, inconsistencies, and unrealistic pricing/volume assumptions.
- Provide a clean, corrected financial model file (Excel/Google Sheets/PDF) with:
- clear assumptions,
- structured tables,
- realistic ranges where appropriate,
- and improved logic to make the model more sustainable and profitable.
3. Profitability & Strategy Improvements
- Suggest practical ways to improve profitability (pricing structure, packaging, capacity planning, staffing timing, cost structure, etc.).
- Keep assumptions realistic for a new company in the U.S. creative market (especially LA).
Ideal background
- Strong experience in financial modeling for service businesses (preferably creative/production, agency, media, photo/video, marketing, or similar).
- Understanding of how production companies operate in the U.S. (project budgets vs creative fees, staffing model, contractors, etc.).
- Proven track record writing or reviewing business plans (bonus if immigration/business-plan style, but not required).
Deliverables
- Written notes with corrections + recommendations
- Revised/improved business plan suggestions (not necessarily rewriting the entire plan unless agreed)
- Final corrected financial model file that I can use directly
