Job Summary
T&S is seeking an Immigration Program Advisor to support our client’s our U.S. immigration program in a highly crossfunctional environment. This role will fully support the client’s Immigration Program and Global Immigration Program Manager.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys connecting the dots between legal guidance, business needs, and clear internal communication. The Advisor partners closely with immigration vendors and internal stakeholders to help ensure immigration policies, guidance, education, and communications are aligned, current, and practical. While this role does not manage individual immigration cases, it plays a meaningful role in shaping how the immigration program operates and is understood across the organization.
The position works closely with HR Partners, Talent Acquisition, and other internal stakeholders and offers the opportunity to help strengthen and mature immigration processes, education, and internal resources over time.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with the Global Immigration Program Manager to help shape and strengthen the client’s immigration program.
- Partner with immigration vendors to stay current on immigration developments and help translate legal guidance into clear, actionable internal direction.
- Help maintain and improve internal immigration resources, templates, and guidance so managers, HR, and recruiters understand how and when to engage immigration vendors.
- Support immigration policy updates and internal change management by assisting with drafting guidance and coordinating related communications.
- Contribute to immigration education initiatives, including webinars, town halls, newsletters, and other communications that support awareness and compliance.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with HR, Talent Acquisition, and other teams to promote consistent understanding of immigration processes, roles, and responsibilities.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 4-7 years of experience supporting U.S. employment‑based immigration in a corporate immigration team or immigration law practice.
- Strong working knowledge of nonimmigrant and immigrant visa processes, including visa bulletin mechanics and priority dates.
- Experience supporting immigration policy updates, internal guidance, education, or change‑management initiatives.
- Ability to clearly and concisely communicate complex immigration concepts to employees, managers, HR, and Talent Acquisition audiences.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced, cross‑functional environment.
- High level of judgment, integrity, discretion, and respect for confidentiality.
Preferred
- Experience partnering closely with external immigration vendors or outside counsel.
- Experience working cross‑functionally with HR and Talent Acquisition teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP or XLOOKUP.
- Working knowledge of U.S. Form I‑9 processes and employment eligibility verification requirements.
- Familiarity with global immigration concepts is a plus.
Additional Information
The position supports the U.S. immigration program and may expand to support global immigration initiatives.
Location: Remote, preferably close to Santa Clara, CA. This role may require occasional travel to the office for town halls and other immigration‑led events.
