Job Description
Antea Group USA is seeking a skilled and motivated Business Intelligence Specialist to join their dynamic technical support team. The role involves engaging in diverse project assignments, including data management and analysis, data automation flows, and creating insightful data visualizations using tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
Responsibilities
- Develop and apply best practices (i.e., data management, dashboard development) to meet client specific needs
- Partner with business stakeholders to understand goals, define reporting requirements, and translate needs into effective Power BI solutions
- Interface with project team personnel to confer the value and deliverables available when using business intelligence solutions
- Apply attention to detail, brand standards, and design elements to provide client ready deliverables
- Perform analyses and effectively visualize project data within Excel and business intelligence platforms (i.e., Power BI, Tableau, etc.)
- Implement novel solutions to unique data related problems using programming and visualization tools
- Design and implementation of automation for novel or tedious work
- Provide Quality Assurance and Quality Control of all data and deliverables
Skills
- B.S. degree in Data Science, Data Analytics, Geology, Geography, Environmental Engineering, Earth Science or related field
- 1-3 years' experience with Data Analytics/Data Management
- Experience with Microsoft Power BI required, specifically with developing effective story telling with dashboards using advanced calculations and appropriate visualizations
- Strong ability to translate ambiguous or evolving business questions into scalable Power BI models and dashboards
- Excellent communication skills, with comfort facilitating requirements sessions and presenting insights to diverse audiences
- Experience in data management concepts and relational databases required, Snowflake or Microsoft Fabric experience preferred
- Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills
- Experience in the design and implementation of automated workflows for novel or tedious work (i.e. scripts, Power Platform Tools, etc.)
- Experience using Power Query, Pivot Tables and charts, advanced formulas and conditional formatting within Microsoft Excel
- Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship, now or in the future
- Potential employees must be able to satisfactorily complete a background check, pre-employment drug screening (as permitted by law), and baseline physical (safety sensitive roles). They must also have a valid driver's license and good driving record
- Experience in data management concepts and relational databases required, Snowflake or Microsoft Fabric experience preferred
- Programming experience (i.e., Python, C++, C#, R, Matlab, scripting, or others) preferred
- Experience working with multiple types of datasets preferred
