Rick Hansen Foundation is a Canadian registered charity focused on creating an inclusive and accessible world for people with disabilities. They are seeking a Marketing & Events Coordinator to support the Marketing and Communications team and the Accessible Outdoors team by performing a wide range of duties, including project support, administrative tasks, and ensuring brand guidelines are followed. Responsibilities Support the Marcomm team with ongoing projects aimed at increased efficiency Liaise with team members for review and feedback, adjust as needed Assist with administrative projects in the Marcomm team Ensure RHF brand guidelines are followed in all materials Prioritize and implement accessible design best practices Provide design and writing assistance to support the overall brand with a focus on blogs, newsletters, impact stories, promotional materials, and other writing projects as needed Support administrative tasks such as video editing and saving digital materials Provide support to our Accessible Outdoor Program (AOP) on-site at the Steveston Marina; meet & greet guests and help provide exceptional guest experience Handle logistics and catering for AOP programing onboard our accessible vessel; and Perform other related duties in keeping with the purpose and accountabilities of the position Skills Must be between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of employment Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act Be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with BC legislation and regulations Support the Marcomm team with ongoing projects aimed at increased efficiency Liaise with team members for review and feedback, adjust as needed Assist with administrative projects in the Marcomm team Ensure RHF brand guidelines are followed in all materials Prioritize and implement accessible design best practices Provide design and writing assistance to support the overall brand with a focus on blogs, newsletters, impact stories, promotional materials, and other writing projects as needed Support administrative tasks such as video editing and saving digital materials Provide support to our Accessible Outdoor Program (AOP) on-site at the Steveston Marina; meet & greet guests and help provide exceptional guest experience Handle logistics and catering for AOP programing onboard our accessible vessel Perform other related duties in keeping with the purpose and accountabilities of the position Post-secondary education in Marketing and Communication, Event planning, or related field preferred Proven ability to develop credibility and effective working relationships with staff and other partners Effective oral and written communication, interpersonal, presentation and organizational skills Computer experience working with MS Office Strategic thinker with an ability to execute Strong attention to detail High degree of professionalism, flexibility and adaptability Ability to work both independently and within a team environment High level of discretion, tact, and judgment when handling confidential and sensitive information Company Overview Rick Hansen Foundation is a nonprofit organization promoting awareness programs, educational initiatives, and disability awareness.
