Your contribution will help us grow and extend our reach for tangible conservation gains, and forgethe critical relationships that will ensure long-term viability for the world’s wild cats and the healthy ecosystems they sustain.

Felidae’s multi-pronged approach combines forward-looking research, education and technology to discover new approaches to in situ felid preservation, and reach worldwide audiences through technology and social media. We partner and provide leadership for world-class research studies, supplying strategy, planning, funding, media, field support and assistance with logistics. With our innovative interactive education programs we share data and learning from these studies with the public in a way that’s engaging and inspiring.

Felidae Conservation Fund is seeking volunteers to assist with cataloguing images of wildlife from our large-scale camera trap network from across California. This is a great opportunity for anyone interested in wildlife, nature to put their species s to the test for science!

This volunteer position is fully remote. Cataloguing images is done using our Cloud-based software, thus a reliable internet connection is needed. We require a minimum 6 month commitment, and at least 1- 2 hours per week.

An interest in wildlife is required along with attention to detail as these images are the basis of our datasets that are used in scientific research to assess the impacts of human and habitat-related factors affecting wildlife activity.

    We provide training materials to help you get familiar with species camera traps in California.Responsibilities
  • Cataloguing images of wildlife from our large-scale camera trap network across California using our Cloud-based software (remote position).
  • Maintain attention to detail as these images are the basis of datasets used in scientific research.
  • Commit to a minimum 6 month commitment and at least 1–2 hours per week.
