The Central Access Representative position plays a key role in the health system interacting with patients, providers, payers, and counterparts involved in each patient's care, ensuring accuracy in scheduling, registration, and financial clearance processes. Responsibilities Accurately performs all the appropriate tasks to completion for data capture and entry Accurately performs all the appropriate tasks to completion for hospital/physician scheduling, pre-registration, and financial clearance Follows departmental processes and procedures in support of accuracy, safety, patient experience and revenue cycle outcomes Meets individual productivity and quality expectations in all job functions Supports team and department goals Supports positive patient experience, safety, and revenue cycle outcomes Ensures that appropriate standards of practice meet the needs defined in the organizations mission for excellence and corporate compliance guidelines including and not limited to patient experience, privacy, safety, and revenue cycle policies Ensure all account documentation is accurate and complete for all system tasks Demonstrates professionalism with patients, visitors, providers, payers, and colleagues Communicates to superiors when supplies, systems, tools and/or workflow processes needed to do their job are not sufficient Works collaboratively across teams, with peers, and revenue cycle departments Skills High school education or equivalent with emphasis on computer literacy and communication skills Customer service experience required Successful completion of all training orientation programs required Prior Authorization experience required Knowledge of medical terminology, hospital financial systems, and insurance processes preferred 1+ years of relevant experience in patient access preferred Patient Access Certification (CHAA) preferred Benefits Paid Time Off (PTO) Medical and Prescription Drug Insurance Dental and Vision Insurance Retirement Plans Short & Long Term Disability Life & Accidental Death Insurance Tuition Reimbursement Health Care/Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts Wellness Programs Voluntary Benefits (e.g., Pet Insurance) Discounts Through our Partners such as NJ Devils, NJ PAC, Verizon, and more!
