Job Description

Tra Law Group is seeking an experienced Certified Litigation Paralegal to support our litigation practice.

This position is not entry level. Applicants must already be comfortable working in active California litigation matters. We are a small Los Angeles-based law firm with a practice that is approximately 50% litigation and 50% transactional, and we have been expanding our employment and personal injury practice.

Requirements to apply:

  • Must be a certified paralegal under California Business & Professions Code §6450
  • Must have at least 2 years of litigation paralegal experience
  • Must have strong knowledge of California civil procedure and court filing procedures
  • Must have experience filing in California state courts and federal courts
  • Must live in Los Angeles County, Orange County, or within commuting distance

Position Details

    This is a hybrid position. Work is primarily remote, but the paralegal must be available to work from our Los Angeles office at least once per week or as needed, particularly for motion preparation, filings, and trial preparation.
  • Part-time schedule: approximately 15–20 hours per week (w/ possibility to go full time)
  • Starting pay: $30/hour+ (depending on experience)
    Responsibilities
  • Supporting attorneys in active litigation matters, including:
  • Preparing pleadings, motions, declarations, and exhibits
  • Drafting discovery requests and assisting with discovery responses
  • Managing litigation deadlines and case calendars
  • Filing documents in California state courts and federal courts
  • Preparing subpoenas and coordinating records requests
  • Summarizing records, including medical and employment records
  • Assisting with deposition and trial preparation
  • Communicating professionally with clients, vendors, opposing counsel, and court staff

Round 1: Virtual interview

Round 2: Written assignment to evaluate litigation knowledge and work quality

Final Round: In-person interview at our Los Angeles office
