- Develop and execute a sales-first revenue strategy across direct sponsorships, brand partnerships, underwriting and events, in collaboration with leadership to achieve the organization’s quarterly and annual revenue targets
- Identify new categories, verticals, partners, and products that are aligned with COURIER’s mission and audience to drive new revenue opportunities
- Personally lead and close high-value partnership deals with premium and trusted brands across our national and state newsrooms
- Own a meaningful individual book of business in addition driving team goals
- Lead, mentor, and manage a sales team, setting a high bar for performance, accountability, and follow-through
- Work closely with editorial, marketing, finance, and operations teams to ensure sold programs and products are high-quality, impactful, and deliver on partner expectations
- Own pipeline management, forecasting accuracy, and revenue reporting
- Requirements:
- A track record of revenue generation and sales management within the media, entertainment, or digital content industries
- Demonstrate a proven ability to beat goals and close high-impact distribution deals and sponsorship agreements
- Possess strong leadership skills, with a track record of building and mentoring high-performing teams
- Be an innovative thinker who can align content, sales, and revenue strategies effectively
- Exhibit excellent relationship-building and negotiation skills
- Excel in high pressure and fast-growth/start-up environments
