Prepare and review billing forms to ensure accurate and complete claims submission to insurance carriers Enter documentation and adjustments into billing systems to maintain correct account balances Review charge summaries, identify discrepancies, and complete rebilling requests from internal departments Process electronic claims accurately and mail paper claims daily as required Maintain billing logs, production reports, and required records and files Monitor accounts and outstanding balances and initiate appropriate follow-up to prevent delinquency Communicate and collaborate with appropriate personnel to resolve billing issues Adhere to HIPAA guidelines, corporate compliance standards, and safety practices at all times Perform all other duties as assigned What Sets BRG Apart: At Baton Rouge General, we are a community of compassionate, caring individuals who set the bar for healthcare excellence.
