Job Description
An immediate temporary open position for 6-12 ONCOLOGY Clinical Data Reviewers/Abstractors, who will work remotely with a focus to performs high-quality medical records abstractions for CANCER, WOMEN’S HEALTH, and RARE DISEASES. • Applicants can reside in any of the 50 states and D.C. • 100%
Remote work. • Flexible work schedule and workdays. • Temporary position. • Expected to start late July 2024. End date pending. REQUIREMENTS • Must have experience with ONCOLOGY and clinical data abstraction including cancer, women’s health, or rare diseases.
• Clinical trial experience is a plus • Work Part-time (20 hrs.) and Full-time (40 hrs.) Temp • Must work at least a minimum of 4 hours per shift • US Citizenship Required • Previous remote work experience preferred • A Bachelor's Degree is required; however it does not need to be in Nursing RESPONSIBILITIES • Perform abstraction for ad hoc and ongoing internal/external data for CANCER information that requires manual reading, reviewing... and abstracting clinical data from medical records. • Ability to manually read, review and abstract clinical data from medical records.
• Participate in quality reviews on records abstracted by abstraction peers, ensure records quality reviewed and through the entire abstraction life cycle. • Maintain confidentiality, accuracy, detailed records, and reports. • Attend cross-team meetings and provide relevant reports to cross-team members. • Identify clinical data gaps within medical records across the entire clinical database. QUALIFICATIONS • Registered Nurse or
Advanced Practice Nurse with current active license to practice within the United States.
• 2+ years’ experience with clinical data abstraction and a focus on Oncology, Gynecological Oncology, and Women’s Health preferred. • Experience may be supplemented with a minimum of 5+ years of ONCOLOGY direct patient care, clinical trials, and data management experience. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES • Must be a clinical expert in clinical and therapeutic areas of Oncology, Gynecological Oncology, and Women’s Health preferred • Ability to work independently, with little to no direction, and as part of a team • Strong organizational, communication, and research skills • In-depth attention to detail and a fast learner • Strong computer skills, proficiency in spreadsheet applications, word processing, bolthires Workspace, project management software, etc.
• Strong familiarity with data abstraction tools, EDCs, registries and working with system change requests, and databases. • Experience with multiple electronic medical record systems such as Allscripts, Epic, NextGen, Meditech, Cerner, etc., and working with paper, handwritten, and unstructured data, etc. Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract, Temporary Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
