Clinical Psychologist, Remote/Part Time, Long Island, New York

We are currently seeking a NYS Licensed Psychologist to join our comprehensive care, behavioral health program as we grow and expand. The Psychologist will function as a member of multi-disciplinary teams across several Northwell sites. This position is part-time and fully remote.

Responsibilities:

  • The role of the Psychologist will be to provide pre-surgical evaluations for psychological

clearance for a variety of surgical specialties, including bariatric and spinal surgeries.

  • The Psychologist will provide pre- and post-op treatment to surgical patients as needed.
  • The Psychologist will also evaluate and treat non-surgical patients seeking behavioral weight management counseling.
  • The Psychologist will work closely with the Clinical Director and obtain ongoing supervision and training pertinent to the patient population.

Job Qualifications:

· Candidates must have a Doctoral degree in clinical, school, or counseling psychology from an APA accredited program.

· Completion of APA Internship preferred, but not required

· Candidates must possess a valid New York State License to practice Psychology

· 1-3 years of relevant experience (e.g., pre-surgical psyc evals, eating disorders, health psychology) required

· Spinal Surgery eval experience strongly preferred

    · Child/Adolescent experience preferred

The salary range and/or hourly rate listed is a good faith determination of potential base compensation that may be offered to a successful applicant for this position at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future. When determining a team member’s base salary and/or rate, several factors may be considered as applicable (e.g., location, specialty, service line, years of relevant experience, education, credentials, negotiated contracts, budget and internal equity).

The salary range for this position is $112800-$150000/year, prorated based on percentage of Full Time Equivalent (FTE).
