As a Cloud Application Development Engineer, you will play a critical role in driving the success of our cloud-based infrastructure and applications.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and deploy scalable, reliable, and secure cloud-based solutions using AWS services.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications and solutions.
- Work with other teams to migrate or re-engineer SAS or MS-SQL Server applications to AWS.
- Enhance and maintain existing .NET and MS-SQL Server applications.
- Troubleshoot production issues and provide timely resolutions to minimize downtime.
- Mentor and guide junior team members and QA, fostering knowledge sharing and continuous learning.
- Define and report best practices and procedures for process improvement and maintenance.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest AWS services, DevOps methodologies, and emerging trends in the industry.
- Manage multiple competing priorities with minimal supervision and work effectively in a team environment.
Pay Range:
The ordinary pay range for this position is:
- Minimum: $22/hour
- Maximum: $30/hour
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time earnings for all positions within the job grade. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, geography, and other relevant factors.
Required Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience as an Application Development Engineer or similar position, with a focus on AWS, Python, or PySpark.
- Proficiency in developing and implementing AWS-based solutions and familiarity with cloud storage.
- Experience with APIs and Web services in integrating applications on the internet.
- Experience as a .NET developer and familiarity with the framework.
- Proficiency with databases, including writing optimized SQL queries, creating views, functions, and stored procedures.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex systems to identify bottlenecks and optimize performance.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Healthcare experience: A specific expertise in HIPAA and other regulatory compliances, including PCI, PII, and PHI.
- AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect).
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or an associated field or equivalent work experience.
