About the position
- Responsibilities
- Provide academic and career advising to students.
- Teach required success courses to enhance student learning.
- Promote student attendance and engagement in college activities.
- Assist students with FAFSA and ORSAA completion for financial aid.
- Connect students to community resources and support services.
- Manage a caseload of students, helping them achieve their educational goals.
- Collaborate with other coaches, advisors, and faculty to support student success.
- Requirements
- Master's degree in Education, Psychology, Social Science, Counseling, or related field.
- Experience working in an educational or social service environment.
- Demonstrated experience working with at-risk and culturally diverse populations.
- Experience in advising and developing educational goals for students.
- Experience managing caseloads and case files.
- Nice-to-haves
- One year of academic advising experience in a college setting.
- Experience working with first-generation college students.
- Knowledge of local programs for transitioning students to college.
- Familiarity with degree and certificate requirements.
- Knowledge of FAFSA and ORSAA processes.
