Community & Content Associate

🌍 Remote, USA 🎯 Full-time πŸ• Posted Recently

Job Description

Startup Foundry is a Silicon Valley accelerator for early-stage founders. We're launching our first cohort this year and looking for a Community & Content Associate to help build our brand from the ground up.

This is a volunteer role ideal for a recent grad or early-career person who wants real startup ecosystem experience with real ownership, not a shadow role.

What You'll Be Doing

    Social Media Management
  • Own and manage our presence across LinkedIn and Twitter/X
  • Create, schedule, and publish content that builds brand awareness and drives engagement
  • Engage with founders, investors, and startup communities on our behalf
  • Track performance and iterate on what works
    Twitter Spaces (Startup Foundry Live)
  • Produce and co-host our monthly Twitter Spaces featuring founders and investors
  • Research and identify potential guests, handle outreach, and coordinate scheduling
  • Moderate live conversations, ask thoughtful questions, and keep the discussion moving
  • Repurpose Spaces content into clips, quotes, and posts for social media
    Newsletter
  • Help write, edit, and manage our newsletter (founder stories, ecosystem updates, investor insights)
  • Maintain the subscriber list and track open rates and engagement
  • Source content ideas and coordinate contributions when needed
    Program Support
  • Assist with light program operations as needed (founder communications, event coordination, content for the website)
  • Support partnership and community-related tasks as they come up
    What You'll Get
  • Direct access to founders, investors, and operators in the startup ecosystem
  • A portfolio of work you actually built, not observed
  • A strong reference and a network that compounds over time
  • Real experience building a brand from its earliest stage
  • Visibility into how an accelerator and venture ecosystem operates behind the scenes

What We're Looking For

Articulate and eloquent β€” you can hold a conversation with founders and investors and sound like you belong in the room

A natural storyteller β€” you know how to turn ideas, founder journeys, and updates into content people actually want to read and share

Strong writing ability with a clear, confident voice

Active and fluent on Twitter and LinkedIn β€” you understand how these platforms work, not just how to post on them

Reliable and consistent β€” this only works if you show up every week

Genuinely interested in startups, venture capital, and the founder ecosystem

Comfortable working independently with minimal direction

Recent graduate or early-career professional looking for meaningful experience

Prior experience with content creation, social media, community building, or newsletters is a plus but not required

Location doesn't matter β€” energy, consistency, and communication skills do

To Apply

Send your application to [email protected] with the subject line "Application to Content & Community Role." Include a short note on why this role interests you and a link to any content you've created (social accounts, writing samples, newsletter work, anything that shows how you think and communicate).
