Role Overview
The Community Operations Coordinator supports the day-to-day execution and communication of 821’s adult recreation programming. This role focuses on admin, scheduling, communication, and coordination, ensuring coaches, players, and partners are informed, supported, and aligned. This is an entry-to-mid level operations role with clear systems, clear expectations, and room to grow. Admin & Scheduling Support - Assist with weekly adult class schedules - Confirm coach assignments and coverage - Track attendance, rosters, and class capacity - Update internal trackers and shared documents - Flag scheduling conflicts or gaps early Coach Communication - Send weekly schedule confirmations - Coordinate substitutions or changes - Ensure coaches receive program notes and expectations - Escalate issues to the Founder or Program Lead when needed Community & Player Communication - Respond to basic player inquiries (schedule, locations, booking) - Share class updates, reminders, or changes - Support a consistent and welcoming tone across all communications - Help manage cancellations or reschedules smoothly Operations & Logistics - Support coordination with parks, courts, or facilities - Assist with equipment tracking and basic logistics - Follow and help document standard operating procedures (SOPs) - Keep operations organized and running on time Founder Support - Reduce inbox load by handling routine questions - Maintain order in day-to-day operations - Provide weekly summaries: ---What ran ---Any issues ---What needs attention Who
