I'm looking for a freelance B2B marketing consultant to conduct vendor evaluation calls on my behalf.
You'll reach out to a shortlist of marketing agencies and conduct vendor evaluation calls in your capacity as an independent marketing consultant doing research on behalf of a client. You'll book and attend a sales call with each vendor, ask a structured set of questions I'll provide, and deliver a written debrief after each call.
What I'm looking for:
- You currently operate as an independent marketing consultant, fractional marketer, or marketing advisor (with a LinkedIn that reflects this)
- You have experience advising B2B SaaS or tech companies on content, creative, or marketing operations
- You're articulate and comfortable in vendor sales calls, asking smart questions without tipping your hand
- You can deliver a clear, structured written debrief within 24 hours of each call
- Prior mystery shopping, win/loss research, or competitive intelligence experience is a bonus, not required
What this project involves:
- An initial set of 5 vendor evaluation calls (each 30β60 min), with the opportunity to expand beyond that based on results
- I'll provide you with a full brief: vendor list, your consultant context and framing, and a structured question guide
- After each call: a written debrief with all of your findings based on the information weβre looking to learn
- Initial budget covers 5 vendors. Additional vendors can be added at the same per-vendor rate after the initial set is complete.
