- Collaborate with the Claims/Special Investigation Unit (SIU) to combat fraudulent claims.
- Research, prepare, file, and litigate fraud cases including RICO.
- Develop litigation strategies on complex legal matters.
- Review case files and plan resolutions.
- Draft discovery requests, motions, memorandums, and legal briefs.
- Prepare for and conduct Depositions and Examinations Under Oath (EUOs).
- Attend arbitrations, mediations, and trials.
- Work with expert witness in litigation defense preparation.
- Represent the company in court appearances.
- Negotiate settlements and prepare related documentation.
- Requirements:
- Juris Doctorate and active membership in good standing with the Florida State Bar.
- Federal Court Admission or the ability to seek admission upon selection.
- 7 + years of complex litigation experience.
- Experience litigating medical and other types of fraud ideal.
- Ability to manage complex litigation.
- Strong research and writing skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and related computer applications.
- Exercises discretion and maintains confidentiality.
- Insurance industry experience ideal.
- Knowledge of legal holds and discovery processes.
