Brightstar is an innovative global leader in lottery solutions, providing secure technology and comprehensive services. The Computer Operator II role involves monitoring computer systems to ensure smooth IT operations and performing troubleshooting tasks.
Responsibilities
- Monitoring of Lottery systems, Hosts, middleware, and applications by validating tool availability, verifying service health, and detecting, documenting, escalating, and tracking anomalies in a 24/7 operation
- Conduct intermediate network monitoring system tools, validating service health and escalating when thresholds or errors occur
- Monitor daily production processes such as endβofβday processing, system balancing, file transfers, report deliveries, maintenance windows, and change requests while documenting completion
- Support software releases, data center failovers, disaster recovery tests, and other planned production events in collaboration with Operations Management and QA
- Coordinate, fulfill, validate, and track internal and external customer requests while communicating status updates and clarifying requirements to ensure effective customer partnerships
- Document incident timelines, workarounds, and root causes using internal JIRA/IMO and Lottery incident tracking systems
Skills
- A minimum of at least 1-2 years of related experience preferred
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline preferred; equivalent professional experience accepted
