The Consultant for the revenue team will be a vital member of the finance team, directly supporting the Senior Manager managing Verizon's prepaid brands. This role is responsible for the precise execution, in-depth analysis, and clear communication of all revenue forecasts and financial reporting for Verizon Value's prepaid brands. This individual is a key partner to our commercial and finance teams, serving as a critical connection point to the Chief Revenue Officer's organization and the Base Management Teams. Responsibilities β€’ Preparing and owning the final financial plan, forecasting, reporting, and analyzing for the business clients. β€’ Developing the Business Plan, Commitment View, and Best View, including the analysis, distribution, and recommendations for management reviews. β€’ Preparing final monthly analyses of business trends and budget variance for financial results and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to be used in strategic business analysis sessions. β€’ Creating cash flow statements and performing ad-hoc cash flow analysis and trending. β€’ Developing and analyzing capital planning models, reports, and templates. β€’ Serving as a Subject Matter Expert on business performance, conducting in-depth analysis to define and execute action plans for gap closures, revenue growth, and profitability management. β€’ Working directly with brand managers to understand the key value propositions and channel sales strategies that impact financial performance. β€’ Conducting in-depth analysis of economic drivers of the business, such as customer churn, plan step-ups and step-downs, and base retention offers. β€’ Modeling and assessing performance scenarios to proactively identify potential risks and opportunities. β€’ Applying technical expertise to model the financial impact of all commercial activity decisions. β€’ Communicating with all partners in a clear and concise manner. β€’ Defining the need for and the source of data requirements for planning, forecasting, and reporting. β€’ Creating and overseeing the development of profitability and costing models, and communicating model updates to the Center of Excellence. β€’ Designing and developing methods and strategies to continually improve financial processes and tools. Requirements β€’ Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or four or more years of work experience. β€’ Four or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through work experience and/or military experience. β€’ Experience with Microsoft Office Suite with knowledge of Excel. Nice-to-haves β€’ Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics. β€’ Experience in the technology and/or telecommunications industry. β€’ A professional certification (e.g. CPA, CMA). β€’ Understanding of corporate financial planning, reporting & analysis, and costing/profitability methodologies and processes. β€’ Knowledge of common business and cost drivers, financial statement analysis, and deep-dive analysis. β€’ Familiarity with the preparation of General Ledgers, Basic Knowledge of FASB requirements, Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. β€’ Proficiency in Essbase, Smart View, Hyperion Planning, and Hyperion Strategic Finance. β€’ Excellent communication skills and ability to focus on the details.
