About the position
- Responsibilities
- Prepare Business Cases for Home Promotional offers, primarily Base Retention.
- Prepare final financial plans, forecasts, reporting, and analysis for business clients.
- Develop the Business Plan, Commitment View, and Best View, including analysis and recommendations for management reviews.
- Prepare monthly analyses of business trends and budget variances for management reviews.
- Conduct in-depth analysis of business performance and recommend action plans for cost management and revenue growth.
- Develop capital planning models, reports, and templates.
- Create cash flow statements and perform ad-hoc cash flow analysis/trending.
- Define data requirements for planning, forecasting, and reporting processes.
- Conduct strategic business analysis with overlays and commentary.
- Create performance reports with business insights and recommendations for executive management.
- Identify scenarios, risks, and opportunities around business performance.
- Create profitability/costing models and communicate updates to the Center of Excellence.
- Analyze economic drivers of the business client, such as customer churn and renewals.
- Model and assess performance scenarios to analyze risks and opportunities.
- Communicate effectively with partners.
- Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or equivalent work experience.
- Four or more years of relevant work experience.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Nice-to-haves
- Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics.
- Experience in the technology and/or telecommunications industry.
- Professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA).
- Understanding of corporate financial planning, reporting & analysis, and costing/profitability methodologies.
- Knowledge of common business and cost drivers, financial statement analysis, and deep-dive analysis.
- Familiarity with General Ledgers, FASB requirements, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
- Proficiency in Essbase, Smart View, Hyperion Planning, and Hyperion Strategic Finance.
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
