Position: Consumer & Retail Finance Expert
Type: Hourly contract
Location: Remote
Commitment: 10–40 hours/week
- Role Responsibilities
- Curate and seed real-world consumer and retail finance datasets for AI training and model development.
- Work with partial financial models, ambiguous inputs, and complex spreadsheets to support AI learning processes.
- Annotate and structure financial data artifacts while iteratively organizing datasets for improved model performance.
- Provide feedback to data science teams to enhance model accuracy and financial reasoning.
- Collaborate with finance professionals across distributed teams.
- Document insights, observations, and best practices in structured written formats.
- Participate in project meetings to share progress, insights, and recommendations.
- Requirements
- Professional background in consumer finance or retail finance operations, analytics, or financial data work.
- Strong financial data analysis capabilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with emphasis on clarity and thoroughness.
- Experience working with unstructured or messy financial datasets, including spreadsheets and financial artifacts.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to normalize ambiguous financial information.
- Ability to work independently in a remote, collaborative environment.
- Strong attention to detail and adaptability to evolving project workflows.
