About the position
- Responsibilities
- Serve as the outsourced Controller/CFO for multiple non-profit clients.
- Transform nonprofit client financial departments to help them meet their mission.
- Prepare financial reporting for management and Board decision making and presentations.
- Recommend and implement improvements to accounting, operations, internal controls, and compliance policies and procedures.
- Handle transactional activities including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, general accounting, reconciliations, and month-end close.
- Conduct analysis and data visualization, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Manage grant management, allocations, and funder reporting.
- Prepare for and manage annual audits.
- Provide client and staff training opportunities.
- Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree required, preferably in Accounting or Finance.
- 5-7 plus years accounting experience.
- Experience working in a remote environment preferred.
- Ability to manage and lead multiple clients, work independently, and be responsive on a timely basis.
- Demonstrated strong Microsoft Excel skills.
- Experience with multiple GL packages, especially QuickBooks, and electronic bill pay systems.
- Non-profit accounting, public accounting experience, and/or consulting experience is a plus but not required.
- CPA certification is a plus.
- Bilingual-English/Spanish a plus.

- Experience in nonprofit accounting or consulting is a plus.
- Familiarity with various GL packages and electronic bill pay systems.
