Our client, a leader in the Insurance Sector is adding a Financial Accountant/Systems Analyst to their team. In this role you will combine your abilities of ERP implementions with accounting, financial analysis/modeling and data manipulation. Automation of processes, process improvement experience. Stat, GAAP or IFRS experience coupled with Power BI ideally
Accountant responsibilities:
Ā Establishing tables of accounts and assigning entries to proper accounts
Ā Developing, implementing, modifying, and documenting recordkeeping and accounting systems
Ā Analyze, research and resolve system defects involving the General Ledger under all three accounting bases. This entails understanding complex system landscapes, as well as interacting with various departments in resolving associated questions or issues
Ā Support the SAP Global Template general ledger processes; which includes post journal entries, review suspense/clearing accounts, monitor subledger interfaces and analyze assigned general ledger account variances.
Ā Developing, maintaining, and analyzing budgets; preparing periodic reports that compare budgeted costs to actual costs
Ā Analyzing business operations, trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments and obligations, to project future revenues and expenses or to provide advice
Requirements
Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance
Public Accounting Foundation ideally
Experience with Large ERP implementations
Ability to work 100% remote
CPA a plus
