They are hiring a Corporate Actions Associate who will be responsible for processing corporate actions, ensuring accurate allocations and reconciliations, and providing excellent client service in a dynamic financial environment.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for processing voluntary and mandatory corporate actions, interpreting terms, allocation of event to holders and reconciliation
- Perform various Reorg events ensuring instructions are received and processed timely and accurately, as well as mitigate risk and exposure to the firm
- Monitor deadlines and critical cut-offs to ensure instructions are processed accordingly
- Learn and understand stock record, relating to various retail and institutional accounts
- Process allocations ensuring reorg events are paid timely and reconciled for accuracy
- Provide outstanding client service, Escalate client issues and complaints on operational matters to higher-level management when vital
- Understanding and recognizing various voluntary and mandatory reorg events and communicating with custodians, depositories, counterparties, and clients as needed
Skills
- 1+ years of experience in voluntary corporate actions experience (recent college graduate with internship experience will also be considered)
- Ability to multitask and take ownership of complex issues
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience and proficiency using Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
- Ability to work in a dynamic, team-oriented environment
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- This position requires 2x a week in the office
- Experience with BPS/DTC/Euroclear/Clear stream is a plus
