Title: Cost Accountant/Financial Analysis

Location: Fully Remote

About the Role

A growing, global manufacturing organization in the medical and industrial products space is seeking a Cost Accountant / Financial Analyst to join its finance team.

This is a high-impact role supporting multiple U.S.-based manufacturing sites, focused on cost analysis, inventory management, financial reporting, and operational performance improvement. The position is ideal for a finance professional who enjoys working cross-functionally with operations and wants to play a key role in driving business performance.

    Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze and validate the cost of goods sold (COGS) as part of the month-end close
  • Perform cost analysis and variance analysis across multiple manufacturing sites
  • Establish and maintain standard costing for manufactured products
  • Monitor and reconcile inventory accounts, including cycle counts and physical inventory audits
  • Investigate and resolve inventory and cost discrepancies
  • Support budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring alignment with business objectives
  • Prepare and deliver financial and operational KPI reports to leadership
  • Analyze profitability, cost centers, and breakeven points across products and sites
  • Provide insights and recommendations to leadership on cost efficiency and financial performance
  • Partner cross-functionally with operations, supply chain, and plant leadership to improve processes
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to cost control and financial performance
  • Assist with audit preparation and reporting requirements
    Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 3+ years of relevant finance/accounting experience (manufacturing environment preferred)
  • Strong understanding of cost accounting, inventory accounting, and financial reporting
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office tools
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
  • High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and accountability
    Preferred Experience
  • Experience supporting multi-site manufacturing operations
  • Exposure to standard costing and inventory-heavy environments
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and financial reporting tools
  • CPA or progress toward certification is a plus
