Description:
Investigates and maintains claims
Reviews and evaluates coverage and/or liability
Secures and analyzes necessary information in the investigation of claims
Works toward the resolution of claims files
May attend arbitrations, mediations, depositions or trials as necessary
May affect settlements/reserves within prescribed limits and submit recommendations to supervisor
Conveys simple to moderately complex information to all appropriate parties
Ensures that claims payments are issued in a timely and accurate manner
Ensures that claims handling is conducted in compliance with applicable statutes and regulations
Requirements:
Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience
Field of Study: Liberal Arts, Business or a related discipline
6 months to 3 years of related experience
Continuous and prolonged walking and standing
Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling of objects up to 50 lbs.
Frequent climbing, bending, twisting, stooping, kneeling and crawling
Requires overhead reaching and grabbing
Regular and predictable attendance
Ability to conduct visual inspections
Work outdoors in inclement weather conditions
Frequent travel
May require the ability to operate a motor vehicle
