Role Overview – Store Customer Service Specialist
We are seeking a dynamic, customer‑focused professional to join our Brookfield, Illinois retail team as a Store Customer Service Specialist. This full‑time, front‑line position is essential to the success of our retail operations. You will be the trusted advisor for wholesale and retail customers, helping them discover the right arenaflex products, providing expert guidance, and ensuring an outstanding shopping experience that consistently meets or exceeds sales targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional, solution‑oriented service to every customer, both in‑store and over the phone.
- Identify customer needs, recommend appropriate arenaflex paints, coatings, and related products, and articulate the benefits of each solution.
- Resolve customer concerns promptly, turning challenges into opportunities for loyalty and repeat business.
- Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of arenaflex product lines, new releases, technical specifications, and industry trends.
- Achieve and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals through proactive selling and cross‑selling.
- Process sales transactions accurately, following company policies and ensuring compliance with cash handling procedures.
- Prepare and mix custom colors using tinting equipment, adhering to precise formulas and customer specifications.
- Stock shelves, set up attractive product displays, and keep the sales floor organized and visually appealing.
- Perform routine cleaning of store equipment, maintain tidy workstations, and uphold safety standards.
- Assist with loading and unloading delivery trucks, and support on‑site deliveries when needed.
- Maintain accurate work order files, inventory records, and product labeling.
- Suggest process improvements and sales strategies to store management.
- Collaborate with the broader arenaflex POD of stores, covering shifts at the Berwyn/Riverside and Westchester locations as scheduled.
Minimum Requirements
- At least 18 years of age.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship now or in the future.
- Valid, unrestricted driver’s license.
- Physical ability to lift and carry up to 50 lb frequently and up to 70 lb occasionally; ability to retrieve material from shelves and floor stacks (reasonable accommodations considered).
- Flexibility to work scheduled hours, including evenings and weekends.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED (or equivalent).
- Minimum of one year experience in retail, delivery, or customer‑service roles.
- Prior experience selling paint, coatings, or related products.
- Hands‑on experience operating tinting and mixing equipment.
- Fluency in a second language, preferably Spanish, to serve diverse customer base.

Compensation
