This is a full‑time, remote‑only role that operates on an 11 PM – 7 AM Eastern Time schedule, Wednesday through Sunday. Key Responsibilities – What You’ll Do Every Night Release, classify, and bill basic import shipments: Accurately enter shipment data into our customs processing system, ensuring every entry meets regulatory standards. Prepare customs bonds: Generate and submit the necessary bonds for U.S. Customs inspections, guaranteeing compliance and timely release of imports. Maintain precise billing records: Verify invoices, resolve any accounting discrepancies, and coordinate with the finance team to ensure prompt payment cycles. Cross‑functional impact awareness: Understand how your nightly activities affect downstream operations such as warehouse handling, freight forwarding, and customer service. Stay current on regulatory changes: Monitor updates to customs regulations, trade agreements, and partner agency procedures, applying new knowledge to daily tasks. Essential Qualifications – What You Must Bring Education: High school diploma or equivalent is required; additional coursework in logistics, international trade, or business administration is a plus. Experience: Minimum of 2 years’ experience in customs brokerage, freight forwarding, or a related office environment, with a proven track record of accurate data entry. Technical proficiency: Strong command of Microsoft Word and Excel, email platforms, and common PC‑based software; familiarity with customs entry systems (e.g., ACE, ACE/ENS) is highly desirable. Communication skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities; the capacity to convey complex regulatory information in a clear, customer‑friendly manner.
