Role 1: D365 Finance & Project Accounting Functional Consultant Role 2: D365 Finance & Project Accounting Technical Consultant Remote-Immediate Start Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled Techno-Functional Consultant with strong expertise in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Project Accounting. The ideal candidate will bridge business finance needs with system configuration, ensuring effective implementation, optimization, and support of financial and project-based processes. Key Responsibilities Finance & Accounting • Configure and support Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), General Ledger (GL), and FP&A processes in D365 Finance. • Ensure accurate financial postings, period close activities, and compliance with accounting standards. • Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting requirements. Project Accounting • Configure and manage project setup, project budgeting, and cost control in D365. • Implement and support revenue recognition, project invoicing, and billing rules. • Enable and optimize AI OCR–based invoice processing for project and vendor invoices. • Work with stakeholders to improve project financial visibility and reporting. Techno-Functional Responsibilities • Lead D365 Finance configuration, including parameters, posting profiles, and workflows. • Design and implement approval workflows and business process automation. • Support system integrations with third-party applications and upstream/downstream systems. • Develop and maintain financial and project reports using D365 reporting tools (Financial Reporting, Power BI, etc.). • Translate business requirements into functional designs and system configurations. • Provide user training, documentation, and post-go-live support. Secondary – Supply Chain • Provide functional support for Procurement and Inventory modules. • Assist with basic warehousing processes and inventory accounting integration with Finance. Required Skills & Qualifications • Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance. • Solid understanding of financial accounting principles (AP, AR, GL, FP&A). • Proven experience in Project Accounting, including revenue recognition and invoicing. • Techno-functional expertise in D365 configuration, workflows, integrations, and reporting. • Experience with AI OCR solutions for invoice processing is a strong plus. • Good understanding of procurement and inventory accounting. • Ability to work directly with business stakeholders and translate requirements into solutions. Preferred Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or related field. • Microsoft Dynamics 365 certifications (Finance / Functional Consultant). • Experience working in implementation or transformation projects.
