About the Role
DoorDash is seeking a Data & Analytics Contractor to support the Digital Ordering team in launching large restaurant chains on DoorDash-built websites and mobile apps. This role ensures that every launch is measurable, high-quality, and optimized for growth by providing clear, accurate reporting and insights.
The contractor will be responsible for building, maintaining, and improving the dashboards, data pipelines, and quality-monitoring processes that track performance across restaurant partners.This includes generating weekly quality reports, identifying anomalies, surfacing store-level insights, and helping cross-functional teams troubleshoot data issues or experiment setups that prevent accurate measurement.
Key Responsibilities
- Reporting & Dashboard Development
- Build and maintain dashboards that provide visibility into Digital Ordering launch performance.
- Develop and manage the underlying data sources required to support accurate reporting.
- Produce recurring (e.g., weekly) quality readouts and performance summaries for internal teams. Analysis & Insights
- Investigate data anomalies and identify restaurant-level trends or issues.
- Conduct deep-dive analyses to distinguish meaningful insights from noise.
- Partner with Product, Engineering, and Business teams to interpret results and guide decisions. Cross-Functional Support
- Troubleshoot experiment or data setup issues that could impact measurement accuracy.
- Provide analytical support during large partner launches and post-launch optimization. Required Skills (Fully Independent)
- Strong SQL proficiency with the ability to write optimized, scalable queries.
- Dashboard development experience, including designing data models that support reporting.
- Strong product and business intuition, with the ability to partner effectively with Product, Engineering, and Business teams.
- Demonstrated ability to perform deep-dive analysis and distinguish true insights from noise. Preferred Skills (Manager Support Available)
- Experience with A/B testing and experimentation methods (design, analysis, interpretation).
- Ability to translate open-ended business questions into measurable hypotheses.
- Strong analytical judgment to evaluate results and present actionable recommendations.
