Location: Future relocation to Buffalo, NY, Wilmington, DE, or Bridgeport, CT will be required to be fully considered for this opportunity. This role offers a hybrid work schedule; offering the flexibility to work remotely two days a week, while providing the opportunity for in-person collaboration.
Overview:
The Data Management Analyst is a key contributor to the Data Tooling & BI team, focusing on workflow creation and automations, user support, data modeling, migrations, and governance. This role is instrumental in enhancing data efficiency, quality, and accessibility within the organization.
Responsibilities:
ย Develop and refine data models for various business processes using Alteryx.
ย Create and automate data workflows to improve efficiency, reduce manual intervention, and ensure data accuracy.
ย Collaborate with business users to understand data requirements and translate them into effective data models.
ย Contribute to the development and maintenance of Alteryx Federated CoE and best practices.
ย Provide support to users in leveraging Alteryx for data analysis and automation.
ย Collaborate with cross-functional team to implement Alteryx solutions that align with business objectives.
ย Stay up to date on Alteryx features and functionalities.
ย Collaborate with Data Stewards on data quality and issue management.
ย Lead requirement gathering and migration activities in coordination with data stakeholders.
ย Conduct data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
ย Prepare clear and concise data visualizations to communicate findings to stakeholders.
ย Support the development of data-driven decision-making processes.
Minimum Qualifications Required:
ย Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 2 years related experience, or in lieu of a degree, a combined minimum of 6 years higher education and/ or work experience, including a minimum of 2 years related experience.
ย Experience in at least one programing language and analytical/statistical tools.
ย Knowledge of data management concepts, terminology, roles, and responsibilities.
ย Experience completing data research using industry standard research method.
ย Experience enforcing data governance policy and standards in a local area.
ย Proficiency in Alteryx or similar data modeling and workflow automation tools.
ย Good understanding of federated CoE models, data governance principles, and best practices.
ย Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
ย Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
ย Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
ย Knowledge of SQL and other programming languages.
ย Expertise in Alteryx for data analytics, including workflow design, data blending, and advanced analytics.
Preferred Qualifications:
ย Strong background in data science, business intelligence, and process automation.
ย Expert knowledge of the data life cycle.
ย Project Management Skills: Strong project management and communication skills to effectively lead and influence cross-functional teams.
ย Passion for Data Excellence: A commitment to maintaining the highest data quality and governance standards to ensure the BI Center of Enablement's success.
ย Understanding of specific domains as required by assignment.
ย Proven experience using change management best practices for adoption of product changes within a specific user group.
ย Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
ย Certification in Alteryx or other relevant data tools.
M&T Bank is committed to fair, competitive, and market-informed pay for our employees. The pay range for this position is $77,026.05 - $128,376.75 Annual (USD). The successful candidate's particular combination of knowledge, skills, and experience will inform their specific compensation.
