APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS (read carefully — this is how we screen):
We use a simple test to filter proposals. Please respond to these three items as the FIRST thing in your proposal. No greeting, no intro paragraph, no company pitch. Just the three answers.
A) We’ve been told that Procore Analytics 2.0 uses the Procore Datahub Sync Engine to push data into Azure Data Lake Gen3 storage. Based on your implementation experience, is this accurate? If not, correct it.
B) One of our team members suggested we use the Sage Intacct “Continuous Sync Gateway” connector for Power BI instead of building a staging layer. What is your opinion on this approach?
C) Write the number of Procore Analytics 2.0 implementations you’ve personally completed. Just the number. No explanation.
IMPORTANT: Items A and B contain deliberate technical inaccuracies. We expect you to identify and correct them. If your proposal confirms or works around these statements instead of flagging them as wrong, we will assume you do not have hands-on experience with these tools.

ABOUT THE ENGAGEMENT:
We are a Power BI consulting firm (Dallas, TX) leading an executive dashboard build for a commercial general contractor . The client operates on Procore + Sage Intacct with SharePoint Online.
We lead the project: client communication, requirements, and overall delivery. I need a data engineer who can own the integration/pipeline layer AND ideally build Power BI dashboards (DAX, data modeling, report design). Integration experience is the must-have. Power BI dashboard development is a strong plus that will increase your hours and involvement on this project.
This is a subcontractor role on an upcoming project.

SCOPE OF WORK:
Core scope (required):
1. Activate and configure Procore Analytics 2.0 — Azure Data Lake connector. Map entities: projects, contracts, change orders, submittals, RFIs, punch lists, safety incidents, schedules, timesheets, PM assignments
2. Configure Sage Intacct → Power BI certified connector (Rand Group or native) with staging/intermediary layer (Azure SQL or Dataverse). Must preserve dimensional P&L across 5 dimensions: project, PM, pod, client, region
3. Build data refresh architecture: daily (cash/AR/safety), bi-weekly (project status/billing), monthly (P&L/WIP). Include failure alerting.
4. Evaluate Outbuild scheduling software for Power BI connector/API. If unavailable, build automated weekly CSV import via Power Query.
5. Survey tool integration (Typeform/SurveyMonkey → Power BI)
6. Support Row Level Security at pod level
Extended scope (if you also have strong Power BI skills):
7. Build executive dashboard views: Daily Pulse (mobile-optimized), Weekly Operations, Monthly Strategic
8. Build calculated DAX measures for up to 60 KPIs across financial health, operations, and client satisfaction
9. Design PM performance scorecard (composite scoring across margin, schedule, safety, CSAT, billing pace)
10. SharePoint List design and Power Automate alert workflows
If you can handle both integration AND Power BI development, say so in your proposal and include a sample dashboard or screenshot (construction or financial domain preferred). This significantly increases the scope and compensation.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE (non-negotiable):
- 2+ completed Procore Analytics 2.0 → Power BI implementations (not REST API)
- 1+ Sage Intacct → Power BI using certified connector (not custom API)
- Built staging layers for API rate limiting (Azure SQL, Dataverse, or equivalent)
- Construction industry data: job costing, WIP, percent-complete, change orders
Strongly preferred:
- Advanced Power BI development: complex DAX, star schema modeling, RLS, mobile-optimized reports
- SharePoint Online + Power Automate experience
- Experience building executive KPI dashboards (20+ KPIs with traffic-light logic and drill-through)

YOUR PROPOSAL MUST INCLUDE (proposals missing any item will not be reviewed):
1. Answers to items A, B, C above — as the very first thing. This is pass/fail.
2. One prior construction engagement (client name not required): revenue range, number of KPIs deployed, which Procore entities mapped, which Sage Intacct dimensions preserved
3. Your staging/intermediary architecture on a prior Sage Intacct project — what you built and why
4. Azure Data Lake Gen1 vs Gen2 — which you used for Procore Analytics and any migration considerations
5. Whether you can also handle Power BI dashboard development (DAX, data modeling, report design) — if yes, include a screenshot or link to a sample dashboard
6. Availability for the next 12 weeks and rate (fixed-fee preferred, hourly acceptable)
Proposals missing items 1–4 and 6 will not be reviewed. We mean this.

PROJECT DETAILS:
- Integration-only scope: ~40-80 hours across Phase 1 (12 weeks), lighter in Phases 2-3
- Integration + Power BI scope: ~100-160 hours across all phases (12 months)
- Weekly video sync with project lead
- Start within 2 weeks of selection

WE WILL IMMEDIATELY SKIP:
- Proposals that confirm the technical statements in A or B without correction
- Proposals starting with “Dear Hiring Manager” or any greeting before the A/B/C answers
- Generic proposals describing Power BI features or Procore marketing language
- Agencies submitting unnamed developers
- Anyone who cannot do a 15-minute live technical screening call
We verify every shortlisted candidate with a live technical call. Come prepared to screen-share a real project — not slides, not a portfolio site. An actual data model, Azure config, or Power BI report you built.
