About the position

As a Data Product Owner at DoorDash, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the vision for data usage across our portfolio of tools, ensuring that our Go-To-Market (GTM) teams can leverage data effectively to drive meaningful growth. This position requires you to collaborate closely with other Product Owners, Sales, Strategy, and Engineering teams to deliver high-quality requirements, rapid proof of concepts (POCs), and scalable long-term solutions that meet the needs of our customers and partners. You will be responsible for improving the full lifecycle of insights for our GTM teams, managing high-volume, high-velocity, and variable data across our data stack. In this role, you will guide the Go-To-Market Platform teams on how to utilize data as a valuable asset. You will partner directly with our Scaled Sales team to transform ad-hoc processes into efficient sales experiences. Additionally, you will curate our extensive data models into a unified view of Merchants and Sales Representatives, driving consistency and alignment across the organization. Your hands-on approach will be crucial in developing sales tools that are used globally, taking into account the diverse locations and customs of our users. This position is hybrid, allowing for a mix of in-office and remote work, and you will report to the Head of Data Operations and Governance within the GTM Technology team.

Responsibilities
ย• Create a consistent vision for data usage across the portfolio of tools.

ย• Collaborate with Product Owners, Sales, Strategy, and Engineering teams to deliver high-quality requirements.

ย• Develop rapid proof of concepts (POCs) and scalable long-term solutions.

ย• Guide Go-To-Market Platform teams on leveraging data as an asset.

ย• Partner with the Scaled Sales team to systematize ad-hoc processes into efficient sales experiences.

ย• Curate data models into a unified view of Merchants and Sales Representatives.

ย• Develop sales tooling that accommodates differences in locations and customs.

ย• Manage high-volume, high-velocity, and variable data across the data stack.

Requirements
ย• 5+ years of experience as a product manager or in related technical/strategy roles.
,
ย• BA/BS degree in quantitative or business fields, or an additional 4 years of work experience in IT, applications, or systems.
,
ย• Expertise in understanding human processes and digital systems and their interactions.
,
ย• Ability to optimize and improve processes while designing for scale, including automation.
,
ย• Proficiency in SQL and experience designing data models.
,
ย• Strong written and verbal communication and stakeholder management skills.

Nice-to-haves
ย• Experience working on Business Applications and Business Systems.

ย• Familiarity with Salesforce, Anaplan, Snowflake, Databricks, and first-party tools.

ย• Experience with Python or other programming languages.
