They are seeking a detail-oriented DataCentre Engineer to monitor and maintain data center operations, troubleshoot hardware issues, and facilitate communication among teams to achieve operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain data center operations, addressing alerts through monitoring platforms
- Perform rack and stack installations, ensuring effective power and asset management
- Troubleshoot and repair hardware and hypervisor issues, adhering to documented processes
- Facilitate communication between the datacenter capacity team, R&D, and other stakeholders
- Collaborate with the Networking, Automation, and Capacity team in on-site activities
- Demonstrate continuous learning and adaptability to new processes and technologies
- Foster a culture of proactive communication and teamwork within the datacenter operations team
- Achieve operational excellence through efficient management of tasks and adherence to best practices
Skills
- 1+ years of experience in data center operations or related field
- Proficient in asset management and infrastructure monitoring systems
- Strong troubleshooting skills for hardware and hypervisor issues
- Ability to lift and move equipment (up to 100 lbs) with assistance
- Excellent coordination skills for managing complex tasks autonomously
- Familiarity with data center tools, office productivity software, and ticket management systems
- Demonstrated ability to learn and grow through on-the-job training
- Strong communication and integrity for effective cross-functional collaboration
