Now Hiring: Part-Time Case Manager – Deportation Defense Department
Location: Remote | Compensation: $3,000/month | Hours: 25–30 per week
Dalal & Mehta Immigration Law Firm is seeking a Part-Time Case Manager to support our Deportation Defense Department. This is a unique opportunity to work with a committed legal team on meaningful immigration cases — without the demands of court appearances.
About the Role
As our Part-Time Case Manager, you'll collaborate with a full-time paralegal to manage and oversee a small but important caseload of deportation defense matters. Your legal experience will help ensure filings are accurate, timely, and prepared to the highest standard.
- Key Responsibilities
- Supervise the paralegal's weekly tasks and review her work before filing through ECAS or in paper.
- Monitor deadlines and court schedules to ensure compliance with all requirements.
- Draft and assist with legal motions and arguments, trial briefs, etc.
- Support trial preparation work — no appearances in court required. If you are interested, additional compensation can be discussed for virtual or in person representation for masters and merits hearings.
- About the Department
- Approximately 85 active deportation cases
- Only two trials scheduled this year (August); majority of activity involves Master Calendar Hearings
- This department is a smaller part of our firm's broader immigration practice

- Experience with EOIR/ECAS and deportation defense work
- Ability to collaborate and supervise remotely
