As a member of the Information Technology team, our Desktop Specialists deliver Tier 2 technical support for hardware, software, and communication systems, manage security protocols for endpoint devices while supporting printing, audio/visual, and content management systems, and work within the Infrastructure Field Services team to maintain technical standards and resolve complex issues โ all in service of creating a person-focused health care experience.Do you have a passion for resolving technical challenges across diverse environments, from MAC/PC hardware to mobile devices and audio/visual systems? - Four-year Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or related field
- Minimum of one year work-related experience
- In lieu of degree: 1-2 years of relevant work experience in network and PC support
- Microsoft Certified System Engineer (MCSE) certification will meet the educational requirements
- Strong troubleshooting skills for desktop, laptop, printer, soft phone, smartphone, and software issues
- Proficient at analyzing customer requirements and documenting technical problems
- Ability to implement moves, adds, changes, and maintenance of desktop equipment
- Experience with data and telecommunication wiring infrastructure
- Skilled at assessing user competency levels and providing appropriate training
- Technical aptitude to obtain Dell Tech Direct certification within 3 months of hire
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Superior problem-solving and analytical thinking
- Excellent communication and first-class customer service skills
- Quick learner who adapts well to changing environments
- Capable of conducting UAT testing in support of engineering teams
- Provide world-class customer support for all desktop technology including computers, phones, printers, and AV equipment with 24-hour resolution targets
- Manage complete asset lifecycle including processing adds, moves, and changes for all equipment
- Deliver technical support through multiple channels including phone, chat, remote connectivity, and on-site visits, with possible after-hours on-call duties
- Serve as technical resource for enterprise applications, analyzing user needs and recommending appropriate solutions
- Install, troubleshoot, diagnose and repair hardware using technical documentation and wiring diagrams
- Maintain asset inventory systems and documentation while adhering to established IT procedures
- Continuously improve technical skills and contribute to departmental operations and standards
