About the position
The University of Nebraska Medical Center is seeking a full-time Epidemiologist to collaborate with the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) in developing and operating statewide epidemiological surveillance systems for the Nebraska Environmental Health Tracking Program (NE-EPHT). This initiative, funded by the CDC, aims to enhance the surveillance of environmental health issues across the state. Responsibilities • Develop and operate statewide epidemiological surveillance systems for NE-EPHT.
• Collaborate with Nebraska DHHS to improve environmental health surveillance. • Implement and control measures related to epidemiological practices. • Evaluate and design systems for effective data collection and analysis. Requirements • Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Environmental Health, Health Sciences, Data Sciences, or a related field. • Proficiency in bolthires Access, bolthires Excel, and SAS. • Excellent oral and written communication skills. Nice-to-haves • 1-2 years of experience in epidemiological principles and practices.
