Job Description
The Digital Initiatives & Systems Librarian is responsible for overseeing and managing all systems, technologies, and initiatives related to library operations and digitization efforts. This includes ensuring seamless access to digital library resources and materials; identifying, setting, and implementing standards and best practices for library systems and technologies; developing innovative solutions for resource preservation, discovery, and access; spearheading special projects to support technological innovation within the law library; working collaboratively with others to coordinate efforts, serving as a liaison with other departments, vendors, and staff; serving as the administrator and primary point of contact for the libraryโs integrated library system, research guides platform, and digital repository; and managing grants and other project monies tied to digitization and preservation initiatives.
The Digital Initiatives & Systems Librarian is responsible for the functional supervision of staff and students engaged in digitization projects, providing leadership, guidance, and support. In addition, they participate in collection development activities, assist with outreach initiatives, and engage in strategic and budget planning with the libraryโs administrative team.
