Job Description:
The Digital Marketing Intern will support Topia’s digital marketing strategy, including social media, content creation, email campaigns, and online engagement. This role is ideal for someone who loves storytelling, creative marketing, and gaining hands-on experience in digital marketing within a global wellness brand.
This is a non-compensated internship designed for class credit and professional experience.
- Time Commitment:
- Approximately 10-15 hours/week (Occasional weekend support as needed, however rare unless preferred), minimum of 1 term (3 months), a commitment of multiple terms preferred.
- Interns' working hours are 100% virtual from home. Must be available for the Topia All Hands Meeting on Tuesdays at 7:30 PM Eastern Standard Time.
Internship Milestones & Review:
To support mutual fit and a positive experience for both the intern and Topia, all internships include an initial 30-day introductory period. During their first week of onboarding, interns are expected to schedule a 30-day check-in review with the CEO. This conversation focuses on feedback, growth, expectations, and overall alignment moving forward.
- Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assist with social media and digital marketing strategy across multiple platforms (LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Twitter, YouTube)
- Create, schedule, and post engaging content, including graphics, captions, and campaigns
- Support email marketing campaigns, newsletters, and website updates
- Track and analyze engagement metrics to optimize performance
- Repurpose content across platforms and campaigns
- Collaborate with the marketing team to maintain brand voice and consistency
- Assist with general marketing projects, including photography, graphic design, and content management
- Requirements:
- Currently enrolled in a college program or a recent graduate in marketing, communications, or related fields preferred
- 1+ year of experience in digital marketing, social media, or content creation
- Proficiency with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Canva, or similar tools
- Strong creative, communication, and organizational skills
- Team player who works independently and manages multiple projects with attention to detail
- Standard Intern Requirements:
- Send daily and weekly updates via Slack
- Attend weekly team meetings on Tuesdays at 7:30 PM EST
- Accountability for the agreed-upon schedule
- Participation in coaching sessions and evaluations for professional development
