Director of Sales – Aerospace & Defense (Engineering Services)

Hartford, CT / Remote (Eastern U.S.)

    Must-Haves:
  • 8–10+ years in business development or sales within engineering services, ideally in aerospace and/or defense
  • Proven success selling engineering, design, or technology-driven services to Aerospace OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers
  • Strong existing relationships within key aerospace accounts and ability to open new business
  • Solid technical and commercial understanding; able to translate complex engineering solutions into clear business value
  • Excellent executive-level communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related field (MBA preferred)
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, and comfortable working in a remote environment
  • Willingness to travel within the Eastern U.S. and internationally

    Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify, develop, and close new business opportunities across aerospace engineering services
  • Define and execute a strategic business development plan aligned with organizational capabilities
  • Lead solution-oriented sales efforts, positioning engineering design, analysis, digital engineering, and testing services to address customer challenges
  • Collaborate with engineering, delivery, and leadership teams to ensure technical alignment and successful solution delivery
  • Own the full sales cycle: opportunity qualification, proposal development, pricing strategy, contract negotiations, and deal closure
  • Monitor industry trends, customer needs, and competitive dynamics to identify emerging opportunities

Location & Travel:
Remote across the Eastern U.S., with travel required domestically and internationally
