Director of Sales – Aerospace & Defense (Engineering Services)
Hartford, CT / Remote (Eastern U.S.)
- Must-Haves:
- 8–10+ years in business development or sales within engineering services, ideally in aerospace and/or defense
- Proven success selling engineering, design, or technology-driven services to Aerospace OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers
- Strong existing relationships within key aerospace accounts and ability to open new business
- Solid technical and commercial understanding; able to translate complex engineering solutions into clear business value
- Excellent executive-level communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related field (MBA preferred)
- Self-motivated, results-oriented, and comfortable working in a remote environment
- Willingness to travel within the Eastern U.S. and internationally

- Key Responsibilities:
- Identify, develop, and close new business opportunities across aerospace engineering services
- Define and execute a strategic business development plan aligned with organizational capabilities
- Lead solution-oriented sales efforts, positioning engineering design, analysis, digital engineering, and testing services to address customer challenges
- Collaborate with engineering, delivery, and leadership teams to ensure technical alignment and successful solution delivery
- Own the full sales cycle: opportunity qualification, proposal development, pricing strategy, contract negotiations, and deal closure
- Monitor industry trends, customer needs, and competitive dynamics to identify emerging opportunities
Location & Travel:
Remote across the Eastern U.S., with travel required domestically and internationally
