About the position

Coordinates the activity and day-to-day operations of security dispatchers and security staff on assigned shift.
Provides guidance and leadership to security dispatchers regarding departmental issues, including enforcement of policies and procedures and security services provided.
Evaluates incidents of a serious security or sensitive nature and takes appropriate action, including response and notifications and advises security leadership of all notable incidents.
Ensures all security dispatcher reports are complete and correct within established time frame.
Supports leadership in emergency response and related preparedness drills.
Ensures all dispatchers complete required annual certifications and training requirements within required time.
Works in collaboration with Security leadership overseeing the scheduling of personnel.
Adapts behavior to the specific patient population, including respect for privacy and communication style.
Performs other related duties as assigned.

High School diploma or equivalent.
5 years of Dispatcher experience.
Valid driver's license in the state of practice.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association to be obtained within 30 days of hire.
Crisis Prevention and Intervention (CPI) certification to be obtained within 30 days of hire.
International Association for Healthcare Safety and Security Supervisor Course (IAHSS) certification to be obtained within 90 days of hire.
Proficiency in using computers, software, and web-based applications.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
Organizational skills.
