Position Overview
We are hiring an experienced Trucking Dispatcher to manage freight operations across the United States. The ideal candidate will coordinate drivers, secure profitable loads, optimize routes, and ensure on-time deliveries while maintaining full compliance with U.S. transportation regulations.
This is a fast-paced role that requires strong negotiation skills, market knowledge, and the ability to manage multiple trucks efficiently.
- Key Responsibilities
- Dispatch and coordinate OTR, regional, or local drivers within the U.S.
- Book loads using U.S.-based load boards such as DAT Freight & Analytics and Truckstop
- Negotiate freight rates with brokers and shippers
- Monitor and manage driver Hours of Service (HOS)
- Ensure compliance with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) regulations
- Track shipments and provide real-time updates
- Reduce deadhead miles and maximize revenue per truck
- Handle documentation including rate confirmations and BOLs
- Maintain records in TMS systems
- Resolve service issues and delivery delays quickly
- Required Qualifications
- Must reside in the United States
- Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
- 1–2+ years of U.S. trucking dispatch experience
- Strong understanding of the U.S. freight market and lanes
- Knowledge of:
- FMCSA regulations
- HOS rules
- ELD systems
- Freight billing and documentation
- Experience dispatching dry van, reefer, flatbed, or specialized freight
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple trucks simultaneously
- Proficiency with TMS software and Microsoft Office
- Reliable high-speed internet (for remote roles)
- Preferred Qualifications
- Existing U.S. broker and shipper relationships
- Experience dispatching 5+ trucks
- Knowledge of factoring and invoicing
- Bilingual (English required; Spanish is a plus)
