We are seeking a Distinguished AI Engineer to define and drive the next generation of AI systems powering LinkedIn's Talent Marketplace.     Responsibilities
  • Set the multi-year technical vision and strategy for AI across the Talent Marketplace - spanning job and candidate search, recommendations, and marketplace optimization.
  • Invent and scale industry-leading agentic AI systems that drive trust, efficiency, and business growth.
  • Uplift the technical bar across LinkedIn by mentoring senior technical leaders and guiding cross-org initiatives.
  • Shape platform evolution and infrastructure to meet the demands of billion-member scale, collaborating deeply with Core AI and Infrastructure teams.
  • Influence company-wide and industry direction by publishing, open-sourcing, and representing LinkedIn in the broader AI community - grounded in innovations proven in production.
    Requirements
  • 10+ years of work experience- in machine learning/AI
  • 6+ years of technical leadership experience
  • B.A./B.S. degree or higher in a relevant field or related discipline (machine learning, statistics, computer science etc.) or equivalent experience
    Nice-to-haves
  • PhD in a relevant field or related discipline (machine learning, statistics, computer science etc.), or equivalent research experience
  • Strong academic credentials with publications in top-tier journals and conferences
  • Experience in designing and implementing AI systems at scale to solve complex business problems
  • Experience of technical leadership guiding and mentoring top engineering and operations talent
  • Experience leading high-impact, cross-company initiatives
