Job Description
Barr Engineering Co. is seeking an electrical technician/designer to join their team in a hybrid role. The position involves supporting the engineering group with detailed electrical design for various industrial systems, including drafting, creating electrical drawings, and designing power distribution systems.
Responsibilities
- Use AutoCAD electrical and other CADD software to create detailed electrical drawings for power distribution systems and controls for new and existing industrial facilities
- Effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and clients to align technical work with project objectives while fostering strong, productive working relationships
Skills
- Two-year technical certificate or equivalent experience/coursework directly related to electrical design
- Proficiency with current versions of AutoCAD and Microsoft Office software
- Possession of a current, valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship by Barr, now or in the future
- 1–3 years of experience working in a design capacity on projects directly related to the job responsibilities described above at a consulting engineering or industrial organization
