Job Description

Barr Engineering Co. is seeking an electrical technician/designer to join their team in a hybrid role. The position involves supporting the engineering group with detailed electrical design for various industrial systems, including drafting, creating electrical drawings, and designing power distribution systems.

Responsibilities

Use AutoCAD electrical and other CADD software to create detailed electrical drawings for power distribution systems and controls for new and existing industrial facilities
Effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and clients to align technical work with project objectives while fostering strong, productive working relationships

Skills

Two-year technical certificate or equivalent experience/coursework directly related to electrical design
Proficiency with current versions of AutoCAD and Microsoft Office software
Possession of a current, valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship by Barr, now or in the future
1–3 years of experience working in a design capacity on projects directly related to the job responsibilities described above at a consulting engineering or industrial organization
